Metal Powder

Gold powder and other types of powder

Premium quality powders used for artistic pieces and crafts.

By crushing finely gold leaves and mixing them with melted glue, a paste is obtained, broken into pieces and transformed into powder, called « Kindei » Gold Powder.
First, the 0,2 micron gold leaves are crushed into 3 microns pieces. Afterwards, the glue is washed out with water and dried. The powder obtained is as smooth and fine as flour.
By conducting researches over many years, Horikin created and developed premium quality powders.

Tarnish resistant  powder

Powders made of alloys, except for genuine gold powder, discolour with time. With a desire to address this issue, we decided to develop a powder to counter the effect of discolouration. Beware that under 80 degrees, the powder will not show any effects.

Genuine copper powder
  • Compared to usual genuine copper powder, its discolouration is slow.
Platinum substitution powder
  • Silvery-white metallic luster. This powder resembles Platinum powder. With good elasticity, it can preserve its brilliance at normal temperature. Without apparition of rust, it can oxidises if heated too strongly. If in contact with acetic acid (vinegar or lemon juice) for a prolonged period, its oxidisation will begin.
Virgin metal powder
  • Compared to tarnish resistant gold powder, it has high brilliancy and much more quantity.Utilization of genuine gold.
